‘Lifetime Jaadu’ from RCom

Mumbai, Oct. 19

Reliance Communications has launched a ‘lifetime plan’ which will enable its pre-paid subscribers to make local calls at Rs 50 paise per minute and STD calls for Re 1 by making a one-time payment of Rs 550. Called ‘Lifetime Jaadu Pack’, this scheme is available to both new and existing subscribers with lifetime validity. “Elasticity of demand coupled with economies of scale have helped us provide these prices. This will be an all-India offerin g,” said Mr S.P. Shukla, President (Wireless Business), Reliance Communications. As per TRAI, a lifetime connection is valid till the expiry date of the mobile service providers telephony license; In the case of Reliance Communications, this ‘lifetime’ period would end by 2023, analysts say.
