Engineering Texmaco net up 59% in Q2 Kolkata, Oct.20 Texmaco Ltd has posted 35 per cent growth in gross sales and 59 per cent jump in net profit in the second quarter to September 30 against the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year. It reported on Monday a net profit of Rs 20.16 crore for the Q2 of 2008-09, against Rs 12.65 crore in the second quarter of 2007-08. The net profit for the first half of 2008-09 has shot up by 79 per cent to 42.99 crore (Rs 24.03 crore). The company said the current order book is around Rs 2,000 crore. It expected that the Indian Railways would release orders within a fortnight for a total of 15,348 wagons to the industry, the largest ever. — Our Bureau More Stories on : Engineering
