Educomp majority stake in Takshila

New Delhi, Oct. 21

Educomp Solutions Ltd said it has acquired 51 per cent stake in Takshila Management Services Pvt Ltd, a company specialising in setting up schools in tier-II and tier-III cities across India, for an undisclosed amount. These schools, to be called Takshila Schools, will be set up at an affordable price point. Currently, Takshila Management Services own six parcels of land and it plans to set up three schools in Hoshiarpur (Punjab), Ahmednagar (Maharashtra) and Gaya (Bihar) to be ready for the coming academic year by June 2009, Educomp said in a notice to the Bombay Stock Exchange. - Our Bureau
