Financial Performance Corporate Results - Hardware HCL Info consolidated net dips 8% in July-Sept Our Bureau New Delhi, Oct. 24 HCL Infosystems Ltd has posted over an 8 per cent decline in its consolidated net profit for the first quarter ended September 2008 at Rs 66.09 crore, on account of foreign exchange losses. The company’s gross sales for the quarter were flat at Rs 3,125.78 crore, the company said in a statement. When contacted, Mr George Paul, Executive Vice-President, HCL Infosystems, said the offtake so far had been steady and while the global financial crisis had led to a cautious environment, the company did not foresee any impact on its systems integration verticals such as Government, telecom and infrastructure. Revenue from computer systems business for the quarter stood at Rs 875.9 crore (Rs 761.4 crore); while the profit before interest and taxes for the business was pegged at Rs 47.6 crore. For the telecommunication and office automation business, the revenue for the quarter was Rs 2,257.1 crore (Rs 2,365.74 crore). The profit before interest and taxes for telecommunication and office automation business for the quarter added up to Rs 62.7 crore. The board of directors has declared quarterly interim dividend of Rs 2 a share.
