CII book to showcase innovations in State

Our Correspondent

Madurai, Oct. 26 Confederation of Indian Industry, Tamil Nadu, has invited nominations from entrepreneurs to profile a book on innovations and innovators in the State.

According to Mr Ramraj, Chairman-Taskforce on Entrepreneurship, CII-Tamil Nadu, entrepreneurial ventures that bring about changes in diverse fields are often accompanied by path-breaking innovations and the initiative is intended to chronicle the novelty and imagination of entrepreneurs in Tamil Nadu.

Last year a book showcasing 101 first generation entrepreneurs was brought out to celebrate the entrepreneurial spirit exhibited throughout the State.

This year, the book will showcase the innovations in universities — encompassing primary and applied research and development activities, innovations that result from industry-institute or society-institute interactions and student-led innovations, socially relevant innovations and social entrepreneurial ventures and innovation in products, process and business models of small and medium enterprises.

The book is likely to be released early next year, he added.

Entries may be submitted to Ms Shruthi L. at shruthi.l@ciionline.org or online through www.cii-innovation.in, a release from CII said.
