Nagarjuna Construction net higher at Rs 42 cr

Hyderabad, Oct. 28. Nagarjuna Construction Company Ltd (NCC) achieved a turnover of Rs 1,056 crore for the second quarter ending September 30, 2008 — a 56 per cent growth over Rs 677 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

As per the unaudited financial results, the net profit of the company stood at Rs 42.30 crore as against Rs 33.64 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

NCC has also reported an EBITDA of Rs 108.48 crore as against Rs 84.83 crore showing a growth of 28 per cent over the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

The turnover of the Hyderabad-based infrastructure major was Rs 2,027 crore for 6 months of the current year as against Rs 1,439 crore for the corresponding period of the previous year — recording a growth of 41 per cent.

The company has posted an EPS of Rs 1.85 (not annualised) as against Rs 1.61 in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

In the current year, the company has so far secured orders aggregating Rs 3,202 crore and the order book now stands at Rs 12,420 crore, according to a press release.
