Aviation formula

In the article on “Aviation formula gone sour” (Business Line, October 29) by Capt. A. Ranganathan has appropriately brought out the immature management strategies of the aviation sector. It came as a shock to some of us who travelled frequently by Jet Airways, as to what necessitated it to get into an alliance with Kingfisher.

A few days later, when I read about the unwieldy act of Jet Airways, I was able to correlate the poor business acumen and the less visionary foresight of Mr Goyal. Treating people in such a crude manner, that too in the hospitality sector, is unbecoming of both Jet and Kingfisher.

There is another instance of Jet Airways serving non-vegetarian food to its vegetarian frequent flyer, who is also initiating legal action through the consumer forum.

The article has clearly brought out the immature management strategies and makes very interesting reading.
