Kakatiya Cements net up at Rs 7.27 cr

Hyderabad, Oct. 31 Kakatiya Cement, Sugar & Industries Ltd’s net profit more than doubled at Rs 7.27 crore in the second quarter ended September 30, 2008 compared with Rs 3 crore in the corresponding quarter of previous financial year.

This was driven by increase in net sales at Rs 49.27 crore from Rs 31 crore in the year-ago period. The earnings per share stood at Rs 9.18 as against Rs 3.85 in the year-ago period, the Hyderabad-based company informed BSE.
