GSS America net tad higher

Hyderabad, Oct. 31 GSS America Infotech, a consulting and software development company, has posted a net profit of Rs 21.53 crore in the second quarter ended September 30, 2008, as against Rs 20.67 crore in the first quarter, showing a growth of 4.2 per cent.

The company went public in February last. The total income for the second quarter was put at Rs 114 crore as against Rs 108.55 crore, showing a sequential growth of 5.1 per cent, Mr Bhargav Marepally, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, said here in a press release.

“We will continue to keep a close watch on various market factors that could have an impact on our customers’ spending capacity. We are looking at other geographies to diversify our risk profile,” he said.

He indicated that Asia-Pacific and the Gulf would fit well in the scheme of things.
