`Excellent move by RBI'

Hyderabad, Nov. 1

This is an excellent move by the RBI as the liquidity got tightened recently. The call rates had gone up over 20 per cent. With these measures, the call rates will come down and there will be softening of interest rates in the markets in general. A significant liquidity will be infused into the system. It, however, remains to be seen whether this would be sufficient or not going forward. We will also review our interest rates on deposits and advances soon.'' said Ms Renu Challu, Managing Director, State Bank of Hyderabad. - Our Bureau
