Railways States - Tamil Nadu Direct train service from Rameswaram to Chennai Our Correspondent Madurai, Nov. 2 Southern Railway has introduced a direct train service from Rameswaram to Chennai. This is in addition to the existing Sethu Express running in the route via Ramanathapuram, Sivagangai, Karaikudi, Tiruchirappalli. According to Mr N. Venugopal, Senior Public Information Officer, Southern Railway, Madurai, the new train no. 6102-Rameswaram-Chennai Egmore Express will leave Rameswaram at 5 p.m. and reach Egmore at 6.40 a.m., next day.
