Direct train service from Rameswaram to Chennai

Madurai, Nov. 2 Southern Railway has introduced a direct train service from Rameswaram to Chennai.

This is in addition to the existing Sethu Express running in the route via Ramanathapuram, Sivagangai, Karaikudi, Tiruchirappalli.

According to Mr N. Venugopal, Senior Public Information Officer, Southern Railway, Madurai, the new train no. 6102-Rameswaram-Chennai Egmore Express will leave Rameswaram at 5 p.m. and reach Egmore at 6.40 a.m., next day.

In the return direction, the train will leave Egmore at 7.55 p.m. and reach Rameswaram at 9 a.m., the next day.
