Kandla Port Dy Chairman

Ahmedabad, Nov. 2

Mr M. A. Bhaskarachar, till recently the Deputy Chairman of New Mangalore Port Trust (NMPT), has taken over as Deputy Chairman of the Kandla Port Trust with effect from October 30. He was appointed to the post on October 27 by the Union Ministry of Shipping, Road Transport & Highways, according to a press release. He was also given the additional charge of Chairman (in-charge) of Kandla Port Trust (KPT) with effect from October 10. Mr Bhaskarachar had been holding addi tional charge of KPT Deputy Chairman since mid-August. He was Financial Advisor and Chief Accounts Officer at NMPT for about nine years and also worked as Deputy Chairman, Kolkata Port Trust, for over four years before resuming charge as Deputy Chairman, NMPT.
