Spot rubber rules steady

Kottayam, Nov. 3 Physical rubber prices finished unchanged on Monday. The market activities were in an extremely low key in the absence of international guidance as the Japanese markets were on a holiday.

No visible change

A slip in Bangkok spot prices failed to make any visible change in the domestic scene. Sheet rubber RSS 4 closed flat at Rs 87.25 a kg as on Saturday last. RSS 3 (spot) declined to Rs 91.08 from Rs 92.56 a kg at Bangkok. The Tokyo Commodity Exchange remained closed on account of National Culture Day.

Spot rates were: RSS-4: 87.25 (87.25); RSS-5: 85 (85); ungraded: 81.50 (81.50); ISNR 20: 83 (83) and latex 60 per cent: 60.50 (60.50).
