Home Solutions unveils consumer durables specialty store in Chennai

Chennai, Nov. 3 Home Solutions Retail India Ltd, part of the Future Group, launched its 46th and Chennai’s first eZone on Monday.

eZone is an electronics and consumer durables specialty store brand from the Future Group that features dedicated displays by various brands instead of category wise display.

The Chennai store, spread over 20,000 sq. ft., will have more than 6,000 products from as many as 250 brands including Future Group’s in-house brands – Koryo and Sensei.

The store has been divided into four zones – Liberation Zone, Experience Zone, Home Zone and Future Zone. While Liberation zone will offer personal products such as computers, laptops, handy cams, MP3 players and mobile phones; Experience zone will facilitate experiencing some of the products such as home theatre systems, LCD TVs and DVD players. Home zone will feature home appliances, and the Future zone will display gaming consoles, electronic toys, including Play Stations and Xbox.

Launching the store, Mr Manoj Kumar, CEO- eZone and Electronics Bazaar, said the store will also house a customer support centre – E-care, which will extend after sales service support to the consumer.

According to him, the company plans to foray into other cities such as Coimbatore and Madurai too, and Chennai alone will have another four eZones.

Talking on private label plans, he said currently the brands – Koryo and Sensei – contribute over 15 per cent of the Rs 1,500-crore turnover of Home Solutions Retail.
