Customer Relationship Management Bosch plans after sales service for 2-wheelers Our Bureau Chennai, Nov. 8 The automotive aftermarket division of Rs 4,300-crore Bosch Ltd is mulling options to offer after sales service for two-wheeler of all brands. Currently, multi-brand service is confined to cars. The Regional Director, (India & SAARC) of the company, Mr K Ravi, told Business Line that at present it has 250 outlets offering after sales services for all brands of cars under the business unit — Bosch Car Service. To double outletsAs part of this initiative to increase revenue from aftermarket, the company plans to double the number of outlets in couple of years. At present, the share of revenue from the automotive market to turnover of Bosch is 20 per cent. In Tamil Nadu, there are 18 outlets, including six in Chennai, and since the passenger car population is significantly increasing the city would have 25 outlets in the near future, he said. Bosch recently developed start-stop mechanism that helps cars save fuel and also cut unnecessary emissions during idling at traffic signals. From October, the company began supplying to Mahindra Bolero as OE fitment. Soon the device would be introduced into the ‘Scorpio’ MUV too, he said. The company is currently working on introducing the unit in the aftermarket.
