New Hanjin weekly service soon

Kolkata, Nov 10 Hanjin Shipping, in partnership with United Arab Shipping Company, will shortly launch a fixed weekly direct container service between India and Europe, according to shipping industry sources.

The service will be operated with the help of 3800-TEU capacity vessels which will call at Malta, Antwerp, Thamesport, Hamburg, Rotterdam, Nhava Sheva and Pipavav.

The first call will be at Nhava Sheva on November 12.

The transit from Nhava Sheva to Antwerp will be 15 days, to Thamesport 17 days, to Hamburg 19 days and to Rotterdam 21 days.

Feeder services will be operated from Malta to Mediterranean and North African ports and form Antwerp to Le Havre (France), the sources add.
