Aries Agro starts new unit in Lucknow

Mumbai, Nov. 10 Aries Agro, a speciality micronutrient manufacturing company, has started production from its newly set up unit in Lucknow. The company has invested Rs 2.10 crore in the seventh manufacturing plant with a production capacity of 10,800 tonnes a year.

Spread over 10,000 sq ft at Banthra, Uttar Pradesh, and the plant will manufacture the company’s flagship product Agromin. The new manufacturing unit will cater to the needs of farming community in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Chattisgarh and West Bengal, and expected to generate revenues of Rs 3.50 crore in the financial year 2009.

Dr Rahul Mirchandani, Executive Director, Aries Agro, said awareness on micro nutrient usage is increasing because farmers have realised the need for balanced fertilisation. Farmers are looking out for options which can increase their productivity.
