Our Bureau

Kochi, Nov. 12

Apollo DKV Insurance Company Ltd on Wednesday announced the launch of its operations in Kerala through an exclusive tie-up with Muthoot Pappachan Group for leading its spread across the State.

The tie-up would offer a comprehensive solution for purchasing health insurance products through Muthoot Pappachan Group’s network of branches.

Mr Chandrasekhar, CMO, Apollo DKV, said that the company is making concerted efforts at expanding the health insurance category by introducing new products while catering to newer geographies.

The company, which started its operations last year, will be present in 40 cities by the middle of next fiscal and also expand to 100 locations by its fifth year of operations.

He pointed out that the health insurance sector in India at present covers only about 4 per cent of the population, which is relatively low. The industry is growing at the rate of 35 per cent for the last five years, indicating tremendous growth potential. Mr Thomas Muthoot, Director of Muthoot Pappachan group, was present.
