ISB to set up campus in Mohali

The 70-acre ISB campus will be located inside Knowledge Park in Mohali and proposes to have 280 seats in its post graduate programme.

It will also have several short duration executive education programmes where approximately 750 professionals can participate.

New Delhi, Nov. 12 Indian School of Business (ISB) has inked a tripartite agreement with Punjab Government and four leading corporate houses to set up its second campus at Mohali in Punjab.

The new campus will be set up with an estimated investment of Rs 300 crore and is likely to be operational by 2011-12.

“The four corporates have given a grant of Rs 50 crore to set up the new campus. ISB will be raising Rs 100 crore for the project. The rest will be through grants and debts,” Mr Rajat Gupta, Chairman, ISB, told presspersons.

The four corporates — Mr Analjit Singh, Chairman and Managing Director, Max India Ltd, Mr Rakesh Bharti Mittal, Vice-Chairman and Managing Director, Bharti Enterprises Ltd, Mr Sunil Kant Munjal, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Hero Corporate Service Ltd and Mr Atul Punj, Chairman, Punj Lloyd Group, have come together to fund the project.

The Mohali campus will have the following four specialist institutes termed as Centres of Excellence, for promoting research and offering additional specialisations in the post-graduate programme.
