Meet on precision engineering

Hyderabad, Nov. 13 A two-day seminar on the latest trends in precision engineering’ is being organised at the Hitex on November 14 and 15.

The Hyderabad International Machine Tool Expositions Ltd in association with Federation of Andhra Pradesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry and Aeronautical Society of India, are jointly co-hosting the event.

“The conference will cover aspects on precision manufacturing practices, robotics and machine tools, machine tool technologies, emerging finishing technologies, among others,” Dr V.K. Saraswat, Scientist and Chief Controller (R&D), DRDO, said while addressing a press conference here on Thursday.

He added that for India to emerge as a major player in the aerospace sector there has to be a focus on material activity, new and developing manufacturing technologies and how to cut down costs.

The other aspects that the seminar will be covered are on nuclear reactors, manufacturing equipment practices in MICRO Electro Mechanical Systems etc.

HIMTEX 2008

The South India’s largest Industrial Trade Fair on Machine tools and Machinery has attracted 80 (apx.) exhibitors from Rajkot, Ahmedabad, Pune, Nasik, New Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Singapore, Germany etc. nationally and internationally.

HIMTEX 2008 to be held between November 14-16 would showcase Machinery tools, Machinery, Instrumentation & Control and Engineering equipment under one roof. Participants include Jyoti CNC, Lokesh Machines, BHEL, DRDO, Sri Yantra Engineering Agencies, Faro Business Technologies, TaeguTec Induia Pvt., Ltd, Renishwa Metrollogy Systems Pvt. Ltd, Carl Zeiss IndiaPvt, Hummel Ag.
