`Sourcing Show' in Hyderabad

Hyderabad, Nov. 13

The Development Commissioner (Handicrafts), Union Ministry of Textiles, and Andhra Pradesh Handicrafts Development Corporation Ltd (APHDC) are organising a `Sourcing Show' in Hyderabad from November 14 to 23.

Addressing a press conference here on Thursday, Mr V Venkatramaiah, Managing Director, APHDC, said that in normal exhibitions that the Corporation organises all artisans are encouraged, but at the Sourcing Show only products of State and national level awardees and `Shilpa Gurus' will be on display. He added that the objective of the show is to lay special thrust on export promotion as bulk orders can be placed directly with the artisans. Around 200 artisans from across the country will be displaying their products at the show. As part of the show, a buyer-seller meet has been arranged on November 19. - Our Bureau
