Trade fair ‘Energy India’ to be held in Dec

Our Bureau

Chennai, Nov. 13 Deutsche Messe, the organisers of technology exhibitions, and Hannover Fair, along with its wholly owned subsidiary, Hannover Fairs India Private Ltd, on Wednesday announced its forthcoming event Energy India, focussing on efficient energy supply solutions and renewable energy. The fair will be held in Bangalore International Exhibition Centre between December 10-13.

Addressing the media the Managing Director of Hannover Fairs India, Mr S.J. Patil, said the Energy India is a new addition to the company’s trade fair cluster comprising three other fairs — MDA India (motion, drive and automation), DeMAT India (material handling and intralogistics) and IA India (industrial automation) — which premiered last year.

Synergies

Since there are a lot of synergies amongst the four verticals visitors can benefit out of value proposition, he said. Besides, visitors can look at and seek multi-disciplinary solutions under one roof. So far 470 participants have registered to participate in the fair, about 320 of them from abroad.

Economic condition

Asked if the slowdown in the economy affected the prospects of conducting the exhibition, Mr Patil, said there was no incidence of confirmed participants withdrawing from the show, except for one or two due other reasons. The recessionary trend helps companies to participate in fairs, as the work pressure will be relatively less. Besides, it will also help them take home some inputs enabling them to beat the recession. “We will sail through this,” he said.
