SriLankan Airlines to resume flights to Rome

Our Bureau

Thiruvananthapuram, Nov. 15 SriLankan Airlines is planning to expand its presence in Europe by resuming flights to Rome.

Flights on the Colombo-Rome sector are scheduled to recommence from next month, said Mr Samantha Nagahawatte, Manager-Kerala, SriLankan Airlines.

Rome will be the fourth European destination to which the airline operates its own flights. Meanwhile, the airline has launched several holiday packages from India to Sri Lanka for the Christmas and New Year holiday season.

It has, for instance, launched a ‘Kids go free’ package under which children below the age of 12 get a free holiday in Sri Lanka.

This package, applicable to a family of four with up to two children, is available from all the Southern states.
