The brewing, the flavours and the business of the world’s top two beverages –Tea and Coffee will be the subjects of intense discussion at a global meet in Hyderabad.

The Tea & Coffee World Cup/Asia 2008, expected to bring in all the stake-holders in the industry, will congregate for three days during November 20-22, at the Hitex for an exhibition and symposium.

Being held for the first time in this part of the country, the event would showcase new equipment and products, technologies and processes, said Mr Rob Lockwood Jr., Executive Director of Lockwood Publications, the main organisers.

Special coffee brewing classes, seminars by experts and trade platforms have been organised during the event. The Coffee Board and Sri Lankan Tea Board have lined up special presentations for visitors.

Topics such as “A tea for all seasons-specialty teas of the world”; “the changing face of the teabag”; “Coffee cultures of Asia”; “Coffee 101-Best practices and marketing aspects”, etc would be discussed at the symposium, he told newspersons on Tuesday.
