Syndicate Bank ups deposit rates

Bangalore, Nov. 20

Syndicate Bank has raised short term deposit rates by 100 basis points. A bank release said that interest rate on deposits between 91 and 179 days was now 7 per cent, instead of the earlier 6 per cent. For amounts over Rs 15 lakh, the interest rate would be 7.5 per cent. For maturities up to 180 days, the rate is 8.75 per cent instead of 8.50 per cent. - Our Bureau
