Metallurgist of the Year award

Mr Pallab Sarkar, Additional General Manager of
Hyderabad-based Mishra Dhatu Nigam Ltd
(Midhani) has been awarded `Metallurgist of the Year
2008' in non-ferrous group. He received the award
consisting of Rs 75,000 and a scroll of honour from
the Union Minister for Steel & Fertiliser, Mr Ram
Vilas Paswan, recently. According to a press release
from Midhani, Mr Sarkar has made significant
contribution in the development of cobalt base super
alloy and other alloys for aerospace applications. -
