Tyco International opens R&D centre

Bangalore, Nov. 22 Tyco International Ltd has opened an R&D Centre of Excellence here to support the company's growing business in India. The company also has located its International Procurement Office in the same complex. The centre, Tyco's first dedicated R&D facility in India, will initially employ approximately 45 engineers and scientists. It will focus on innovative product design and development for Tyco's Safety Products and Security businesses and will host a world-class customer support and training centre catering to customers in the Southeast Asia region. - Our Bureau
