Trouble ahead?

Tourists at Parambikulam dam in Palakkad district. As the tourism season begins, there are fears of a slump in tourist arrivals in Kerala because of the global economic downturn. The State recorded 20 per cent increase in tourist arrivals last season as compared to the nationwide increase of 13 per cent. Total income from this sector last year amounted to Rs 11,500 crore.
