Economy Chidambaram to inaugurate economic editors’ meet Our Bureau New Delhi, Nov. 23 The Finance Minister, Mr P. Chidambaram, will inaugurate the three-day annual economic editors’ conference in the capital on Monday. About 300 editors and financial writers from all over the country are expected to attend the conference. The Indian economy, even though largely domestic driven, is in the midst of a slowdown and facing the ripples of the global economic crisis. The conference will see economic editors’ and journalists interacting with the Ministers and senior officers of key economic and infrastructure ministries. The ministries participating in the conference include agriculture, consumer affairs, food and public distribution, petroleum and natural gas, tourism, IT and communication, urban development, information and broadcasting and finance.
