Mobile user base grows by 10.4 m in Oct

New Delhi, Nov. 24 Mobile operators added 10.4 million new subscribers in October taking the total user base to 325.73 million. This includes both GSM and CDMA subscribers.

The cellular operators had got 10.07 million new subscribers in September.

In the wireline segment, the subscriber base has decreased to 38.22 million in the month of October against 38.35 million in September, registering a drop of 0.13 million.

A total of 10.29 million telephone connections (wireline and wireless) have been added during October compared with 9.79 million connections added in September. The total number of telephone connections has reached 363.95 million. With this growth, the overall tele-density has reached 31.50 per cent.

Broadband subscribers base reached 5.05 million by the end of October compared to 4.90 million in the previous month.
