Hyderabad, Nov. 24 To bridge the growing demand-supply gap for energy demand in Andhra Pradesh, AP Transco is set to foot an additional bill of Rs 700 crore a month till May 2009.

This includes Rs 300 crore for additional power purchase from Central and other generating stations and Rs 400 crore to procure naphtha from Hindustan Petroleum Corporation and Bharat Petroleum, which will help run four power plants with an installed capacity of 840 MW.
