Hyderabad, Nov 24 Dr Reddy’s Laboratories Ltd has launched an authorised generic version of GlaxoSmithKline’s Imitrex (sumatriptan succinate) tablets in 25mg, 50mg, and 100mg in the US. Dr Reddy’s is the first company to launch the generic version of Imitrex in the US market, according to a company press release. In October 2006, the Hyderabad-based company had settled a patent litigation with GlaxoSmithKline relating to sumatriptan succinate tablets, which paved the way f or the launch of the product. The specific financial terms and conditions of the settlement were not disclosed.
