NRE, FCNR deposit rates hiked

Kochi, Nov. 24

Dhanalakshmi Bank has raised interest rates on NRE and FCNR deposits with effect from last week. The new rate for NRE deposits are 4.92 per cent for 1-2 year period, 4.41 per cent for 2-3 year period and 4.89 per cent for three years and above. FCNR dollar deposits will command 4.12 per cent for 6 months to one year, 4.17 per cent for 1-2 year period, 3.66 per cent for 2-3 years, 4.14 per cent for 3-4 years and 4.76 per cent for five years and above. FCNR British pound rat es have been raised to 6.95 per cent for 6 months to one year, 7.01 per cent for 1-2 years, 5.18 per cent for 2-3 years, 5.32 per cent for 3-4 years and 5.51 per cent for five years, a press release issued here has said.
