Madurai book fair from Nov 27

The third edition of Madurai Book Fair will be held in the city at Tamukkam grounds from November 27 to December 7.

The exhibition with support from the State Government and organised by the Booksellers and Publishers’ Association of South India (BAPASI), will have on display more than 50 lakh books.

A unique exhibit this year will be the ‘Painting through ages’. Cultural programmes, debates and feature films accompanied by competitions for school children will be held. The fair will be open from 11.30 a.m. to 9 p.m., said Mr R.S. Shanmugam, Secretary, in a press meet here today.
