Dabur plan for skincare range may be delayed

New Delhi, Nov. 25 Dabur India’s plans to launch an Ayurvedic skincare range in the last quarter of this year could be pushed back by a few months.

The FMCG company acquired Fem Care Pharma for more than Rs 203 crore and plans to make Fem its fifth major brand, Mr Sunil Duggal, CEO, Dabur India, is believed to have explained to investors in a conference call this morning.

Dabur already has a few skincare products under Gulabari its rose-based range. Fem’s bleach, hair remover cream and fairness cream will be the mass-premium products that Dabur will market.

Its own proposed range is to be in “mass-prestige” category when launched eventually.

Some of Fem care’s OTC will be moved under Dabur’s Consumer Health Division. Fem Care’s facility at Baddi is coincidently opposite the new facility that Dabur’s building for itself there, and which is expected to be operational next fiscal.
