Cut in air fares

. I am sure that airline companies in India will not reduce fares even if ATF is treated as “ declared goods” and all taxes on ATF are waived. These taxes have already been reduced significantly, still the airline companies have not passed on the benefit. Even with reduced ATF prices, the airlines may neither pay IOC for the ATF supplied, even on extended credit period, nor clear dues to Airports Authority of India, which are already financed to the extent of more than Rs 1,000 crore by commercial banks by way of loans.
