Air India cancels flights to Bangkok

Our Bureau

New Delhi, Nov. 26 Air India has cancelled all its flights to Bangkok till Thursday evening following the closure of Bangkok airport.

In a statement, the airline has said that apart from the flights from Delhi, Mumbai and Chennai, the Air India Express flight from Kolkata was also cancelled.

“Earlier today, Air India had to divert two of its Bangkok bound flights to Utapao airport in Thailand as the Bangkok airport was shut for operations. Passengers on these flights, after landing at Utapao, were transported to Bangkok by road. Both the flights have taken off from Utapao airport and are expected to arrive at Delhi and Mumbai later tonight,” an airline spokesman said.

Jet Airways also did not operate its flights to Bangkok on Wednesday. The Bangkok airport has been shut for operations as anti-Government demonstrators have taken over the airport.
