Mumbai nightmare

The daring attacks (throwing grenades, opening fire, bombing, killing innocent people and the police) of terrorists at the Taj and Trident hotels and some places in the heart of Mumbai on Wednesday night is a serious blow to Indian democracy.

The nation has to learn from this tragedy. The more the citizens manifest their disunity and animosities in the name of caste, religion, language, etc., the easier it is for the terrorists to accomplish their dubious mission of disturbing the security and integrity of the country.

The Government cannot claim victory of democracy till terrorism is totally stamped out of the country.

S. Ramakrishnasayee Ranipet (TN)
