Chennai, Nov. 27 “Do what everyone else is doing, but differently, and that will get you noticed,” said Ms Anusha R. Mahesh, Chief Executive, Park Global School of Business Excellence, Chennai.
Addressing students of commerce at Stella Maris College here during the course of a Business Line Club lecture on ‘Women in Business’, she said there was no reason why women should stop themselves from doing anything. The key is innovation and how you implement it, Ms Mahesh said.
Indian Overseas Bank is the presenting sponsor of the BL Club activities for this year.
Dwelling on the differences between styles of functioning of men and women, she said there was research to prove that women were better at multitasking. “Don’t try to emulate men or even anyone else as there is a lot we as women and individuals should celebrate,” she said.
‘Get Knowledge’
She also said there was no need to feel guilty about wanting the best of life both at home and work. “Be innovative, be ethical and arm yourselves with knowledge, and you will be on top,” she said.
She exhorted students to set high standards for themselves in all walks of life, and not accept any less from others, especially when it came to ethics and accountability.
