Nod for air services pact with UAE

New Delhi, Nov 27

Air travel between India and United Arab Emirates can soon be enhanced many fold with the Union Cabinet approving the signing of a revised Air Services Agreement with the Emirates. Sources told Business Line that the latest agreement is a “mother agreement” which will allow India to negotiate new bilateral Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the seven Emirates, including Abu Dhabi and Dubai that form the UAE. “India can now negotiate new air services agreement under which issues connected with how many seats each airline can operate and which cities they can fly too will be decided with each of the seven Emirates,” sources said.
