`FDI inflows to remain robust'
New Delhi, Nov. 27
Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) inflows are likely to
remain robust despite the current financial market
turmoil, according to Mr Ajay Shanker, Secretary,
Department of Industrial Policy & Promotion. "FDI
inflows in September were very robust ... My sense is FDI
numbers will remain robust as companies like General
Motors are going to execute their ongoing projects," Mr
Shankar told reporters on the sidelines of a meeting on
Intellectual Property rights. He said that easing of FDI
policy is currently under inter-ministerial consideration.
