Opinion - Letters
Dialogue and trust

I just read your well-written piece “Don’t speak for me” (Business Line, November 28).

You echo the sentiments of many of us who simply do not have any sympathy for anybody who thinks violence is the solution to any of the myriad problems that India faces. And we definitely don’t need outsiders to take up cudgels on behalf of any of our citizens.

We are capable of taking care of our problems and are convinced that it has to be done within the framework of democracy with dialogue and trust. As for Mumbai, it can be down, beaten, ravaged but never out and defeated.
