Agri-Biz & Commodities - Rubber
Spot rubber rules flat

Our Correspondent

Kottayam, Nov. 29 Rubber prices ended almost steady on Saturday. The market activities were dull as there were no quantity buyers or sellers in the main centres, possibly since the trend setting Japanese commodity exchanges were on weekend holidays.

Moreover, lingering rains kept most of the traders on the sidelines as they expected the prices to improve at least marginally in the succeeding days.

Sheet rubber RSS 4 closed unchanged at Rs 66 a kg but ungraded rubber continued to firm up following enquiries from the non-tyre sector. Rubber prices have crashed from a high of Rs 142 a kg witnessed a couple of months ago

Spot prices (Rs/ a kg) were: :RSS-4: 66 (66); RSS-5: 63.50 (63.50); ungraded : 63 (62); ISNR 20: 63 (63); and latex 60% : 49.50 (49.50)
