Agri Gold enters chemical fertiliser biz

Hyderabad, Nov. 29

Agri Gold group, the Vijayawada-based company with a turnover of Rs 1,000 crore, has entered into chemical fertilisers business by launching Mahanutrin product in the Southern districts. "We are targeting horticulture crops with this product. The completely water soluble fertiliser would make nutrients readily available to plants," Mr M.R.K. Nayudu, Managing Director of Agri Gold Organics Private Limited, said. "Use of dry fertilisers in the conventional form leads to wastage of irrigation resources and loss of soil fertility," he told reporters on Thursday. Last year, the company sold Rs 25 crore worth organic manure. -Our Bureau
