Hospital operations should be managed efficiently to decrease the cost of treatment, Dr D. Prasad Rao, Director of Nizam's Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS), said. Speaking at the two-day conference organised by the Association of Health and Hospital Administrators (AHHA), he also spoke about the importance of hospital administration in managing the hospitals through quality.
