Officers of oil PSUs defer strike

Mumbai, Dec. 2

The Oil Sector Officers Association (OSOA), the umbrella organisation of officers of 14 public sector oil companies, deferred is plan to go on strike from Tuesday in protest against the “raw deal in the pay revision”. Instead, the members of the organisation paid homage to those who lost their lives to the terror attack in Mumbai. About 500 officers gathered at the Gateway of India and lit candles in memory of the terror victims. “We thought we would not go on with our plans to strike work as the entire country is mourning,” said Mr Ajay Gupta, Executive Committee member of OSOA. —
