For the first time a Government Director is being brought to the capital market regulator SEBI’S Primary Market Advisory Committee (PMAC).

Mr C.K.G Nair, working in the Ministry of Finance, has been appointed as Director in the PMAC, according to SEBI’S list of PMAC members released on Tuesday.

The committee advises SEBI on issues related to regulation and development of primary market in India.

Among the other new faces in SEBI’s PMAC are the two new members: Ms Kalpana Morparia, CEO, JP Morgan India Pvt Ltd, and Mr Cyrill Shroff, Partner, Amarchand Managaldas & Suresh Shroff & Co.
