Volvo operator training centre in Bangalore

Our Bureau

Bangalore, Dec. 2 Mr Eberhard Wedekind, President-Region Asia, Volvo CE, and Chairman-Volvo India, on Tuesday inaugurated the first operator training school in Hoskote, Bangalore, by Volvo CE, India.

Volvo Construction Equipment has invested in a customer demo centre-cum-operator training school, which will provide training in maintenance and trouble shooting as well as in operating sophisticated construction equipment. This centre will be open to its customers, dealers and general candidates to help in strengthening knowledge and skills.

The training centre is built over 10 acres and with an investment of $2.5 million (about Rs 12 crore). The operator training school boasts training stations for excavating, loading, hauling, grading and, very shortly, stations for road machinery such as paving and compaction. New machines have been dedicated for training.

In 2009, Volvo CE India hopes to train over 100 machine operators.
