Tata arm bags Mysore water contract

Kolkata, Dec. 2

Jamshedpur Utilities & Services Company Ltd (Jusco), a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Steel, has bagged Rs 152-crore water management contract for Mysore city, according to a Jusco release. An agreement to this effect was signed on Tuesday at Mysore between Jusco, Mysore City Corporation and Karnataka Urban Water Supply & Drainage Board. The project, to be implemented in three phases over a period of six years, will utilise the already sanctioned JNNURM fund (80 p er cent of the project cost) for improving the water supply infrastructure in Mysore city, while the balance funding is to be provided by equally by the Karnataka Government and Mysore City Corporation, adds the release.
