FAPCCI award winners announced

Hyderabad, Dec. 3 The Federation of Andhra Pradesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry has announced the list of winners for 2006-07.

Addressing a press conference here on Wednesday, Mr C.V. Atchut Rao, Chairman, Awards Committee, FAPCCI, said the award for the Excellence in Industrial Productivity was won by the Vijayawada-based Ushodaya Enterprises Pvt Ltd.

While the Excellence in All Round Performance was won by National Mineral Development Corporation Ltd and the Excellence in Workers’ Welfare was won by Hindustan Zinc Ltd.

The other award winners include, Natco Pharma Ltd (Research and Development), Tulasi Seeds Pvt Ltd ( Research & Development Small Scale Industry), Alufluoride Ltd (Export Performance), Premier Solar Systems (P) Ltd. (Export Performance Small Scale Industry), Speck Systems Ltd. (Product Innovation), Smaat Aqua Technologies Pvt Ltd (Product Innovation Small Scale Industry), Kesoram Cement (Rural Development), Glaxo SmithKline Consumer Healthcare Ltd (Non-Conventional/Renewable Energy Development/Application) and Hindustan Zinc Ltd (Environmental Management)

Outstanding Scientist

Mr Rao also said that Prof P. Reddanna, won the Outstanding Scientist or Engineer for the benefit of Industry, Trade or Agriculture), and Ms Usharani Manne, Director, Polmon Instruments Pvt Ltd has been awarded the Outstanding Woman Entrepreneur / Scientist / Manager / Technologist award.

While the Outstanding Self-Sustaining Effort by a Physically Challenged Person was bagged by Mr Badavath Prabhakar Asst. Executive Engineer, Panchayat Raj Engg. Dept, Mahabubabad and Tata Consultancy Services Ltd won the Outstanding Information Technology Company award.

He also said that this year 16 awards were being presented as entries were not received in the other four categories.

Mr Suraj Prasad Agarwal, President, FAPCCI, said that, the Chief Minister, Dr Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, will present the awards to the winners on December 4.
